Halic Goldenhorn International film festival is an annual event held at various \u0130stanbul venues. The event is supported by several Government, Non-Government and Film Industry organizations.\nOBJECTIVES<br \/>\nHali\u00e7 Goldenhorn is an international film festival. Its specific objective is to promote and support the development of the cinematic art globally. Its goal is to act as a point of convergence for the national and International Cinema industries. The spirit of the Festival is the one of discovery which strives to turn a catalyst for the development of the Cinematic art globally, particularly through its market segments, Hali\u00e7 Goldenhorn Film Bazaar, Seminars, Master Classes, Panel Discussions etc.\nArticle 1<br \/>\nThe Halic Goldenhorn International Film Festival will take place in \u0130stanbul from 1 th to 6th December 2025.\nArticle 2<br \/>\nThe Board of Selectors chooses and invites films to be presented in Halic Goldenhorn International Film Festival\u2019s Competitive sections, as well as in several non-competitive ones.<br \/>\nFilms made after December 1st 2024 are eligible for the festival, exclusively for the following programmes:<br \/>\nInternational Competition &#8211; Feature Films only<br \/>\nInternational Competition &#8211; Short Fiction Films only<br \/>\nInternational Competition &#8211; Documentary Films only<br \/>\nTurkey Competition &#8211; Turkey Feature Films only<br \/>\nTurkey Competition &#8211; Short Fiction Films only<br \/>\nTurkey Competition &#8211; Documentary Films only<br \/>\nSubmissions for films will be accepted only if they fit the profiles of sections listed above. Other films are by Invitation only.<br \/>\nFestival screening format is DCP. Other formats only upon request, depending on the theatre.\nArticle 3<br \/>\nOnce the film has been selected and the Invitation to participate at the Festival is accepted, the film cannot be withdrawn from the Festival Programme. Any withdrawal of film post selection and communication of the same to the Entrant shall be liable to pay damages to the Festival.\nArticle 4<br \/>\nAll films must be presented in their original language and, where this language is other than Turkish, DCP or the screening format of the film must be subtitled in English and Turkish (if not otherwise specified). Subtitling expenses are to be met by the Participant.\nArticle 5<br \/>\nAll film entries for Competitive sections \u2013 International Competition for feature films, International Competition for Short films, International Competitions for Documentary films and Turk competition for feature films must be submitted to the Festival for selection by November 15, 2025.<br \/>\nThe decision of the Festival with regard to selection\/rejection of a film shall be final and no communication whatsoever in this regard shall be entertained.\nArticle 6<br \/>\nAll submissions must contain the following:<br \/>\nA duly completed online\/offline Entry Form.<br \/>\nUploaded\/couriered screener of the film or Vimeo\/YouTube link with password valid till December 6, 2025 or a DVD\/Blue Ray (if the film&#8217;s original language is other than English, the Festival requires receiving on-screen English subtitles).<br \/>\nSubmissions can also be sent by mail, containing a copy of duly completed Entry Form and the screener DVD\/Blue Ray (All Region), labelled with the film&#8217;s title, director&#8217;s name, and language of subtitles. Submissions must be sent fully pre-paid to the address as indicated on the Entry Form plus specifying the Festival programme that you are applying for. The Festival reserves the right to refuse any shipment entailing additional costs.\n6a. For films selected to be screened at the Festival, these materials must also be sent by email only:<br \/>\nPhotograph of the Director (Jpeg)<br \/>\nDirector\u2019s Biography and Filmography (200 word file)<br \/>\nOne or more stills from the film (Jpeg high resolution files)<br \/>\nDialogue or Spotting Sheet\/List in English (SRT Files by email)<br \/>\nFilm Clips \/ Trailer (Links or DVDs or Blue Rays)<br \/>\nPoster of the Film (Jpeg- soft copy) only<br \/>\nCBFC certification, if available (for Turkey films only)\n6b. Additionally, for films selected to be screened in Competition Programmes:<br \/>\nPhotos of the leading actor\/ actress (Jpeg high resolution files only)<br \/>\nLeading actor\/ actress biography and filmography (200 word files only)<br \/>\nList of cast and crew members attending the Festival (word files only)<br \/>\nNone of the above listed required materials will be returned.\nArticle 7<br \/>\nThe Festival may use all materials cited in Article 6 for promotional purposes and to compile the Festival Catalogue (web and printed copies both). The Festival bears no responsibility for published inaccuracies originating in submitted materials.\nArticle 8<br \/>\nDuring the Festival, selected films will be available in the Digital Video Library, open exclusively to designated Film Bazaar professionals and journalists.<br \/>\nBy accepting to be part of the Festival, Participants grant permission for their film to be included in the Video Library unless other arrangements have been made with the Festival.\nArticle 9<br \/>\nAll prints of selected films must arrive in Festival by November 20, 2025 and must be made available for the entire festival period, unless otherwise agreed. It is obligatory for the Participant to follow the Festival&#8217;s shipping instructions (to be sent to film producer, director or another film representative along with the letter of acceptance of the film).<br \/>\nThe Festival will cover one-way shipping costs for all selected films, unless otherwise agreed. The Festival will be responsible for customs clearance in Istanbul, Turkey.<br \/>\nAll prints will be returned within four weeks following the Festival\u2019s closing date. As far as possible, the Festival will respect the wishes of Participants concerning return shipment of their film. Where print is to be returned to an address different to that of the sender, this must to be clearly noted along with the desired date of arrival at the return address.<br \/>\nThe insurance of film print goes into effect the moment the film is received by DHL or another courier agent in Istanbul. The insurance remains in effect until the film is re-shipped. Unless otherwise arranged, in the event of damage or loss of the screening copy during the Festival, the Festival is only responsible for the cost of producing a new screening copy based on current standard laboratory rates.<br \/>\nDamage to the film print must be reported to the Festival in writing within one month following the return of the print and prior to the film&#8217;s next screening. Any claims will be judged by the reported state of the print.<br \/>\n.<br \/>\nArticle 10<br \/>\nInternational Jury for all International Competitive sections will be comprised of prominent representatives of culture, film theory, criticism as well as filmmakers and producers. Three international and oneTurk jury will be appointed as under:<br \/>\nInternational Competition &#8211; Feature Films<br \/>\nInternational Competition &#8211; Short Films<br \/>\nInternational Competition &#8211; Documentary Films<br \/>\nTurkey Competition &#8211; Turkey Feature Films<br \/>\nTurkey Competition &#8211; Short Films<br \/>\nTurkey Competition &#8211; Documentary Films\nThe Awards:<br \/>\nThe following are the awards at the Festival. Award winners are obliged to mention the award as announced, nationally as well as internationally, in all publicity and promotional material and attend the ceremony in person and not by representation.\nArticle 13<br \/>\nThe invitation sent for each film in Competition sections selected by the Festival must remain strictly confidential between the Festival Management and the Participant until the Festival decides to make an official announcement in this regard.\nArticle 14<br \/>\nParticipation in the Halic Goldenhorn International Film Festival implies acceptance of all regulations and pre-selection conditions. The Chairman, Halic Goldenhorn International Film Festival has the power to settle all issue not covered by the present Rules and<br \/>\nRegulations.\n<p>PRE-SELECTION CONDITIONS<\/p>\nArticle 1<br \/>\nFilms must have been produced after December 1th 2024.<br \/>\nFilms that have neither been presented in television nor in the Internet \/ VOD<br \/>\nAll Feature Films must exceed 60 minutes in length.<br \/>\nAll Mid Length films must be between 30 &#8211; 60 min length.<br \/>\nAll Short films must be between 01-30 Minutes in length.\nArticle 2<br \/>\nThe Producer of the selected film is obliged to provide the presence of at least one member of the selected film&#8217;s cast and crew (director, lead actor and actress) at the Festival. The film&#8217;s Director must attend the Festival and present the film.
