Haliç Goldenhorn International Film Festival

The Haliç Goldenhorn International Film Festival has been held in Istanbul since 2021 with the aim of supporting the development of Turkish cinema, increasing its international visibility, and bringing high-quality productions together with audiences. By encouraging independent and creative filmmaking, the festival seeks to open new avenues of expression within cinema.

With a vision of becoming a cinematic hub in the Eurasian region, the festival provides a strong platform that brings together directors, producers, academics, and industry professionals under one roof. Through screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and academic events, it presents a multi-layered structure that approaches cinema not only as an art form but also as a cultural, educational, and economic value.

Across its five editions between 2021 and 2025, organized both online and at physical venues, the festival has established collaborations with universities, municipalities, and cultural institutions. Films from many countries around the world have been screened, and evaluation processes have been conducted by distinguished jury members. With its academic awards highlighting scholarly contribution, the festival aims to build a sustainable cinema ecosystem.
